Our 2025 PantoLand + PantoTown summer camps for kids are happening July 7-11 and 14-18, and we have a special EARLY BIRD PRICE of $350 +GST (a savings of $50) opening up on Monday December 16th at 8am!

PantoLand (ages 5-10) + PantoTown (ages 11-13) are our week-long summer camps for kids and tweens based on our annual holiday show, the East Van Panto. Over a fun-filled and energized week, participants are invited into the wacky and wonderful world of the Panto. Led by a team of accredited teachers, members of past East Van Panto creative teams as well as guest teachers, kids and youth learn about the pantomime form, sing, dance to their favourite Panto songs, dress up and create their own characters, songs and scripts!

Children can be registered to participate in one week of camp only. A limited number of EARLY BIRD spots are available. Once they are sold out, regular registration will open in 2025.

*Kids must be these ages at the time of camp, and 5 year olds must have completed kindergarten to be eligible to participate.

Sneak Peek into Keely O’Brien’s Secret Ingredients

Our 2023 COLLIDER Artist Keely O’Brien has been busy at work with collaborators in TR’s creative studio, The Skinny, working away on her new show, Secret Ingredients. Keely will be premiering this new work at HOLD ON LET GO, February 4-8, before taking the show on tour.

Keely has sent us this behind the scenes update on how things are going:

“It has been a real pleasure to dive back into the creation process for Secret Ingredients. I’m noticing the benefits of working in iterations, returning to a project with new questions and influences, and reflecting on what to keep, let go of, or push further. This fall, I reopened the cake request form, inviting the public to request cakes with hard-to-say messages, baked and delivered a new batch, and am now in the process of shaping this experience into a performance. Alongside ongoing collaboration with Maiko and TR, a highlight has been welcoming four incredible new collaborators to the project: Alex Mah (sound design), Andie Lloyd (lighting/projection), Robert Azedo (production manager), and V/Veronique West (access consultant). We are deep in the nitty-gritty of creation: finding sparks of connection, following the poetic logic, tolerating uncertainty, seeking forms to hold the beautiful, nuanced, intimate content that participants have shared. I am mostly just grateful and honoured to be trusted with these stories, and to have the opportunity to to bring this project to life.”

It has been an amazing nearly 3 weeks (!) of the run for East Van Panto: Robin Hood! We are having so much fun sharing this show with you all, and want to say a big thank you for coming.
